Ingredients

  • 2 pie crusted, cooked and cooled
  • 2 ½ quarts strawberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 3 ounces strawberry jello
  • whip cream, for garnish

Directions

In saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch and MIX well. Add boiling water and cook until thickened. Remove from heat and add jello. Cool. Meanwhile, clean strawberries, hull and place hulled side up in two pie crusts. Do not wash under water because this will cause your pies to become soggy. When liquid mixture is cooled, pour evenly over pies. Chill and garnish with whipped cream.
