Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 large onion-chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 30 ounces tomato sauce
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 6-8 ounces lasagna noodles, no-boil type
  • 15 ounces Ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 16 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup Parmesan Cheese, grated

Directions

Line a 5 quart size crock pot with crock pot bag liner.
In skillet, cook beef and onion until no longer pink. Drain. Return to skillet, add garlic and cook for one minute. Add tomato sauce, paste, salt and oregano. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
In large bowl, combine the egg and all cheeses.
Layer in crock pot as follows:
1/4 of the meat sauce
noodles to cover meat layer (piece together if needed)
1/3 of cheese mixture
1/4meat sauce
noodles
1/3of cheese mixture
1/4meat sauce
noodles
1/3 cheese mixture
noodles
1/4 meat sauce
Cover and cook on low 4-5 hours
