Ingredients
- 8 lasagna noodles
- ½ pound lean ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- clove garlic-finely chopped
- ½ onion, chopped
- large can of crushed tomatoes
- 1 egg
- ½ cup ricotta cheese
- ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese
- 1 teaspoon dry basil
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- ¼ cup shredded mozzarella
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
Directions
Cook noodles. Heat oil, add onion and saute, add garlic. Add meat and brown. Drain if necessary. Add tomatoes, 1/2 oregano, 1/2 basil and all the pepper flakes. Simmer for 20 minutes. Beat egg, add ricotta cheese, remaining spices. Spray a pan and cover bottom with red sauce. On the noodles, add spoonful of cheese sauce, spoonful of meat sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Roll up with seam side down, place in pan. Top with a bit more meat sauce and mozzarella cheese. Bake at 350° for approximately 20 minutes. |
