Ingredients

  • 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 12 ounces evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

Over low heat, melt together chocolate and butter. Add sugar 1/2 cup at a time. Gradually add milk and stir over medium heat until smooth. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Cool and refrigerate.
