Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 yellow onion-chopped
- 4 cloves garlic-peeled
- 3 pounds tomatoes, seeded and skinned
- salt/pepper
- crushed red pepper, to taste
Directions
1. In large fry pan over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons butter. Add the onion, garlic and tomatoes, reduce the heat to low, cover and simmer 20 minutes. |
2. REmove from pan, put in blender and blend until smooth. Put back into fry pan and add the remaining butter, one tablespoon at a time to blend. Season with salt and fresh pepper. |
