Ingredients
- ½ cup sugar
- ¼ cup flour
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- ¼ cup soft butter
- 1 ½ cups flour
- 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- ¾ cup sugar
- ⅓ cup butter-melted
- ½ cup milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups fruit-optional
Directions
1. For the topping, combine with a fork the first four ingredients. |
2. Combine dry ingredients. In medium bowl, whisk egg until frothy. Add 3/4 cup sugar and 1/3 cup butter and whisk until smooth. Add milk and vanilla, whisk until combined. |
3. With wooden spoon, stir in flour mixture. Preheat oven to 375°. |
4. Pour into 9 inch square greased and sugared pan. If preferred, add 2 cups of fruit, such as blueberries, apples, raspberries. |
5. Bake for 25-35 minutes. Serve warm. |
