Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups flour
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup soft butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°. In mixing bowl, add flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, butter, eggs, zest, buttermilk and orange juice. Mix on low until blended. Once blended, mix for 2 minutes on medium speed. Fold in berries. Pour into greased and sugared loaf pan. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until tested done. Cool 10 minutes and invert onto a wire rack and cool completely.
