Ingredients

  • 22-28 4 pounds ribs
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 4 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 medium red onion-sliced
  • ½ cup Coke
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce

Directions

1. Combine brown sugar, salt, chili powder, paprika, pepper, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Thoroughly coat ribs with the rub, using all the rub.
2. Add onion and Coke to a slow cooker. Place ribs on top, cut to fit if needed. Cover; cook until ribs are tener on high 3.5-4.5 hours. (6-7 hours on low)
3. Preheat broiler to high with oven rack 6-8 inches from the heating element. Transfer ribs to a foil-lined baking sheet; brush ribs with sauce. Broil ribs until sauce caramelizes, about 5 minutes.
