Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • ¾ cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup butter, soft
  • 4 cups apples sliced and peeled
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

Combine first four ingredients, cut in butter till crumbly. Press in a 9x9 greased pan, half of that mixture. Cover with apples. Boil for two minutes, the remaining ingredients until thick. Pour over apples and top with remaining oat mixture. Bake at 350° for 60-65 minutes. Serve warm.
