Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup softened butter
- 3 8 oz each cream cheese
- ¾ cup sugar, +2 T
- 3 large eggs
- 1.5 teaspoons vanilla
- 3 Granny Smith apples, peeled and finely chopped
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup flour
- ½ cup quick cooking oats
- ½ cup softened butter
- ½ cup caramel topping
Directions
In bowl, combine flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter with 2 forks until crumbly. Press into 9x13 pan lined with heavy-duty foil. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. In mixing bowl, beat cream cheese with 3/4 cup sugar at medium until smooth. Add eggs one at time, then vanilla. Pour over warm crust. In bowl, stir together apples and remaining 2 T sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spoon over cream cheese mixture. Combine the brown sugar, flour, oats and butter. Sprinkle over apples. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until set. Drizzle with caramel and let cool. Serve cold. Serves 16 |
