Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups apples, peeled and chopped
  • Caramel Sauce
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

Cake-cream sugar, butter and eggs. Add dry ingredients, stir in apples. Bake in a greased 9x13 pan at 350° for 45 minutes.

Caramel sauce-Boil together all but the vanilla, stirring constantly. Add vanilla.
