Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 3 minced garlic, cloves
  • ¼ cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • chili powder, dash

Directions

Heat oil in pan over medium heat. Add garlic and onion, saute for 1-2 minutes. Add dry rice, continue stirring for about 4 minutes. Slowly add broth and sauce, stir and bring to a boil. Turn heat to low, cover and simmer 20 minutes. Fluff with a fork.
