Ingredients

  • cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 4-4.5 pounds boneless beef short ribs
  • cup butter
  • large onion-chopped
  • 1 ½ cups beef broth
  • ¾ cup cider vinegar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup chili sauce
  • cup ketchup
  • cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 ½ teaspoons chili powder

Directions

In a bag combine the flour, salt and pepper. Add ribs in batches and shake to coat. In a large skillet, brown the ribs in butter and transfer to crock pot. In the same skillet, combine the remaining ingredients, cook until the mixture comes to a boil. Pour over ribs and cook on low 9-10 hours.
