Ingredients

  • 1 pound short ribs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon EVOO
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 onion-sliced
  • 1 clove garlic-grated
  • 12 ounces stout beer
  • 1 cup beef broth

Directions

Season the ribs with salt and pepper. Dip in flour. Heat EVOO and butter over medium high heat. Add ribs and brown all sides, 5 minutes per side. Remove ribs, add onion and garlic, saute until tender. Add the ribs, beer and broth. Simmer 2 hours until tender.
