Ingredients

  • Cake
  • cups flour
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 t soda
  • 1 t salt
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ cups veggies oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk room temp
  • 1 teaspoon white distiller vinegar
  • 2 tv food coloring
  • 2 of eggs room temp
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Frosting
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup whole milk

Directions

1. Frosting:
2. Flour and milk on double boiler until thick stirring constntly. Cool. Cream sugar butter and vanill until as fluffy as possible. Blend cooked mixture with creamed. Stay refrigerated.
3. Cake:
4. Soft flour sugar soda salt cocoa
5. Whisk oil buttermilk eggs food color vinegar vanilla
6. Mix dry into wet until smooth
7. Bake at 350 about 30 min rotating 1/2 way through until pulls away from sides
8. Cool completely. 1/4 to 1/2 in layer of frosting. Rounded side down.
