Ingredients
- Cake
- 2½ cups flour
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 1 t soda
- 1 t salt
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 1 ½ cups veggies oil
- 1 cup buttermilk room temp
- 1 teaspoon white distiller vinegar
- 2 tv food coloring
- 2 of eggs room temp
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Frosting
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup whole milk
Directions
1. Frosting: |
2. Flour and milk on double boiler until thick stirring constntly. Cool. Cream sugar butter and vanill until as fluffy as possible. Blend cooked mixture with creamed. Stay refrigerated. |
3. Cake: |
4. Soft flour sugar soda salt cocoa |
5. Whisk oil buttermilk eggs food color vinegar vanilla |
6. Mix dry into wet until smooth |
7. Bake at 350 about 30 min rotating 1/2 way through until pulls away from sides |
8. Cool completely. 1/4 to 1/2 in layer of frosting. Rounded side down. |
