Ingredients

  • ½ cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 ⅔ cups quick oatmeat

Directions

Cream together sugar and shortening. Add eggs, one at a time. Gently mix in dry ingredients. Fold in raisins and oats.
Bake at 375° on GREASED cookie sheets for 8-10 minutes. Cool on sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to cooling racks.
