Ingredients

  • 1 bone-in prime rib
  • butter
  • salt and pepper

Directions

Preheat oven to 450°. Put prime rib in roasting pan, fat side up. Smear butter on the ends of the meat only. Season with salt and pepper. Put in oven for 15 minutes. Reduce the oven to 325°. Bake until the inside temperature reaches 120°. Tent with foil and let the meat rest. To keep heat in longer, put a beach or heavy towel on the foil.
