Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 4 eggs-slightly beaten
  • 2 cups sugar
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons lemon juice

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350°. In large bowl, combine the 2 cups flour, 1/2 cup powdered sugar and butter at low speed until crumbly. Press mixture evenly in bottom of ungreased 13 x9 pan. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until light golden brown.
2. In large bowl, combine eggs, sugar, 1/4 cup flour and baking powder, blend well. Stir in lemon juice. Pour mixture over warm crust. Return to oven and bake 25-30 minutes or until top is light golden brown. Cool completely.
3. In small bowl, combine powdered sugar and enough lemon juice for desired glaze consistency, blend until smooth. Drizzle over cooled bars. Cut into 36 bars.
