Ingredients

  • 6 3-4 pounds meaty lamb shanks
  • salt, pepper
  • flour and paprika
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1 medium onion-chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 2 16oz each canned tomatoes
  • 2 14.5 oz green beans

Directions

Heat oven to 400°. Put the salt and pepper on the shanks, roll in flour to coat and put in roaster pan. Sprinkle with paprika. Add remaining ingredients except the beans and bake 2-2.5 hours, stirring occasionally. Skim off fat. Add beans to heat through.
