Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 1 ½ cups half and half
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 10 slices day old French bread, one inch thick
- butter for frying
Directions
Combine eggs, half and half, vanilla, sugar, and slat. Pour over bread in a shallow pan. Turn bread once. Refrigerate overnight. Fry each slice in butter until golden brown. Place fried slices on baking sheet. Bake at 450° for approximately 5 minutes. |
