Ingredients
- 2-2 ¼ cups flour
- 1 envelope rapid rise yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup milk
- ¼ cup water
- 2 tablespoons butter
Directions
1. Combine 3/4 cup flour, undissolved yeast, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Heat milk, water and butter until warm. (120° to 130°) Add to flour mixture. Beat 2 minutes with an electric mixture at medium speed for 2 minutes, add 1/4 cup flour and beat at high for 2 minutes. Stir in enough remaining flour to make a soft dough. Knead until smooth approximately 8-10 minutes. Cover and let rest 10 minutes. |
2. Divide dough into 12 pieces and shape into balls. Place in greased 8 inch round pan. Cover, let rise in warm place until size has doubled in size, approximately 30 minutes. |
3. Bake at 375° for 20 minutes. Remove from pan; brush with additional butter if desired. Serve warm. |
