Ingredients

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 ½ cups yellow onion, diced
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 3 cans 14.5 oz each whole plum tomatoes, crushed
  • ½ cup reserved meatball pan drippings
  • ½ cup fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • to taste Kosher salt
  • 1 pound pasta-cooked
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, cut into strips
  • 12 meatballs
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • freshly grated Parmesan
  • 16 ounces cooked spaghetti noodles

Directions

Saute onion in olive oil until tender. Add garlic and continue to saute for 1 minute. Add remaining ingredients over medium high heat. When the mixture begins to boil, add 16 ounces of cooked spaghetti noodles. Cover and simmer 25 minutes. Serve with grated Parmesan Cheese.
