Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon table salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ginger-ground
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 12 ounces white bar chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup macadamias, chopped and roasted

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°. Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Whisk together flour, cocoa, powder, salt, and ginger. Cream butter, and sugars at medium speed for about 3 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla. Mix in flour mixture until blended. Fold in chocolate and nuts. Place 3 T of dough on the sheets. Bake 12-15 minutes. Let cookies cool 5 minutes on sheet and then transfer to rack.
