Ingredients

  • ½ cup semi sweet choc chips, or dark
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 16 ounces marshmallows
  • ¼ cup caramel sauce, plus 2 tablespoons
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • pinch of salt
  • 6 cups cocoa Krispies cereal
  • ½ cup salted peanuts

Directions

melt chocolate in microwave. Grease bottom and sides of 13 x 9 pan (glass) with one T butter. Melt the remaining 5 T butter in saucepan over medium heat. Add marshmallows, reduce heat to low, cover and let stand 3-5 minutes. Add 1/4 cup caramel sauce, vanilla and salt, stir until smooth. Fold in cereal. Put mixture into pan, press with wax paper. Drizzle with chocolate and remaining 2 T caramel, top with peanuts. Let stand 15 minutes.
