Ingredients

  • 4 ounces wide rice noodles
  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • ¼ cup hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon five-spice powder
  • 3 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 1 pound steak, cut into 1/4 inch strips
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, minced
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 2 medium tomatoes, wedged
  • 2 green onions, cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil

Directions

Cook noodles according to package directions. Heat oil in wok over medium-high heat. Add beef and saute for 2-3 minutes. Combine the hoisin sauce, five-spice powder and soy in small bowl. Remove beef and set aside. Add green onions, cook for 2 minutes, add garlic and stir for an additional 30 seconds. Return meat to the wok and stir in sauce. Simmer for approximately 5 minutes. Stir in tomatoes. Serve over noodles and garnish with green onions and basil that has been roughly chopped.
