Ingredients

  • oil, for greasing pan
  • 8 skinless boneless chicken breast
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, cut into 1/2 inch slices
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, cut into 1/2 inch slices
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1.5 cups Italian dried bread crumbs
  • ½ cup grated Romano cheese
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • ¾ cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon paprika

Directions

Coat a large shallow baking dish with oil.
Butterfly each breast, place one slice each of cheddar and cream cheese in the center. Close like a book.
Pour milk into bowl. Put bread crumbs and Romano cheese in another. Dip breasts in milk, then breadcrumbs, patting lightly. Place breasts in prepared pan, tucking breasts to seal.
Melt butter in saucepan, add lemon juice and garlic, and drizzle over chicken. Season chicken with garlic salt and paprika.
Bake at 350° for approximately 30 minutes or until chicken is done.
