Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups soft butter
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons instant coffee granules, dissolved in 1/4 c hot water
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups flour
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Grease and flour a bundt pan. Preheat oven to 325°.
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
Add vanilla.
Alternate with the flour, buttermilk, and coffee.
Bake 60-70 minutes. Cool 20 minutes before removing from pan.
