Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 1 ½-2 teaspoons salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

Directions

In sauce pan, saute onion in the oil until tender. Add remaining ingredients; simmer uncovered for 15 minutes. Makes enough for approximately 4 pounds of ribs for basting.
