Ingredients

  • 1 pound penne pasta
  • ¼ cup EVOO
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 28 ounces can crushed tomatoes
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup heavy whip cream
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 Italian sausage links
  • 2 tablespoons vodka

Directions

Cook pasta.
In skillet, heat oil over moderate heat. Cook sausage links, remove and set aside. Add garlic and pepper flakes and saute.
Add tomatoes, salt and sausage. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Add vodka and cream. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, add pasta and parsley.
