Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- ½ cup butter flavored shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- 4 cups cake flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 ⅔ cups powdered sugar
- 6 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
Cream butter, shortening and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs and extracts. Combine dry ingredients and add to mixture. Divide dough into thirds; wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours. Roll out 1/8 inch thickness. Bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes. Mix the frosting ingredients together and frost when cool. |
