Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 small can diced green chilies
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 18 ounces canned refried beans
  • 2 cups Colby Cheese-shredded
  • 18-20 taco shells
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1.5 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Mix all spices together. Brown beef and onion, drain. Add chilies, beans, tomato sauce and spices and some water. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Spoon meat into shells and place in a 9x13 pan, upright. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 400° for 10-12 minutes. Remove and top with taco fixings.
