Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or oil
  • ½ cup gren bell pepper, chopped
  • ½ cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 14.5 oz cans diced peeled tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon sugar

Directions

Heat oil in medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add bell pepper, onion and garlic; Cook 2-4 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender, stirring frequently. add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered 15 to 20 minutes or until flavors are blended, stirring frequently. Serve over hot cooked pasta.
