Ingredients

  • 8 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Beau Monde
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon fine dried herbs
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
  • Worcestershire sauce, dash
  • salt and white pepper to taste
  • 1.5 pounds green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms
  • ¼ cup shallots, minced
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add the spices, water, vinegar, and W sauce. Beat until smooth. Season with salt and white pepper and chill until firm.

Blanch beans in boiling water for 5-6 minutes. Plunge into ice water and drain.

Heat oil and add mushrooms and shallots, saute 3-4 minutes.

Add beans and saute four minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Put in serving dish and dot with cream cheese mixture.
