Ingredients
- 8 ounces softened cream cheese
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon Beau Monde
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- ½ teaspoon fine dried herbs
- 1 teaspoon water
- 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
- Worcestershire sauce, dash
- salt and white pepper to taste
- 1.5 pounds green beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms
- ¼ cup shallots, minced
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add the spices, water, vinegar, and W sauce. Beat until smooth. Season with salt and white pepper and chill until firm. Blanch beans in boiling water for 5-6 minutes. Plunge into ice water and drain. Heat oil and add mushrooms and shallots, saute 3-4 minutes. Add beans and saute four minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Put in serving dish and dot with cream cheese mixture. |
