Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 3 28 oz whole tomatoes-canned
  • ½ medium onion-chopped
  • ½ medium green pepper-chopped
  • 2 16 oz hot chili beans
  • cup chili powder
  • cup sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon white pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • dash Tabasco sauce

Directions

1. Brown ground beef and drain. Put in cock pot. Add whole tomatoes and break up with spoon or cut up with kitchen scissors. Add remaining ingredients; stir. Cook on low, uncovered for 5-6 hours. Stir every 1/2 hour.
2. When serving, top with: shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream and green onions. Tastes better on the second day. Serves 8-10.
