Ingredients
- 2 pounds sirloin steak
- ⅓ cup butter
- 2 medium onions-sliced
- 1 pound sliced mushrooms, or more
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 ½ tablespoons flour
- 12 ounces sour cream
Directions
Trim excess fat from steak and cut into strips. Heat large skillet until hot with 1 tablespoon butter. Brown meat in batches. When all browned remove meat and set aside. Add remaining butter to skillet. Stir in onions and mushrooms-saute for approximately 5 minutes. Add beef broth and salt-simmer 5 minutes. For more tender meat, simmer longer. Stir flour into sour cream. Blend into broth mixture slowly, then cook, stirring constantly. When mixture is thickened, add meat, heat through. Serve over egg noodles. |
